Client's task
To design a compact, foldable metal detector for the mass market — lightweight and intuitive, even for beginners.
The design had to be unique and visually appealing, leaning more toward a gadget than professional equipment. At the same time, the device needed to retain full functionality, be reliable, and comfortable to use.
The metal detector was to be fully integrated with a smartphone. The device itself would only contain the coil, while the display and processing would take place via a mobile app.
